ET (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

Super friendly ET is a stocky, medium-sized Crossbreed, possibly Boxer/Staffy mix or similar. His passport states him to be 12 years old but Safe Rescue feel he could be as young as 8 or 9 years old. He’s now enjoying life in a foster home in Hevingham, Norfolk, and hopes to go to his forever home soon. ET is so very grateful to be given this chance. He would be suited to most home environments and would be fine to live with respectful children aged 8+.

ET was noticed on Safe Rescue’s visit to the Botosani shelter and he was walked every day. It broke their hearts to leave him behind as they don’t knowingly bring bull breeds into the U.K. due to there being so many here already and no homes for them to go to. Every six months since then, they have spent as much time as possible with him. He joined them for coffee breaks and lunch breaks during the working day and every time they had to leave him on the last day they would try to think of a way to get him out of there.

After they left the shelter in March this year, ET got seriously ill with Babesiosis and almost died. He pulled through but it was really touch and go. Last month, they simply couldn’t leave him there any longer to die slowly and a foster home was found in Norfolk where he could find his forever home for his retirement years. As a super special boy, ET deserves the best home ever. It’s time for him to be pampered and spoiled rotten for the time he has left.

ET walks well on a lead but, initially, will pull with enthusiasm as he’s so excited to be out and about at last. He loves everybody he meets. He’s currently getting on well with other dogs in his foster home but would also love to be the only dog.

Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on ET’s details on Safe Rescue’s Facebook.
