13/4/24 – Little Jimmy has found a home!
Leicester Animal Aid are looking for a home for Jimmy which is in or near Leicestershire so that they can pay for his vet bills. Jimmy is an adorable 7-year-old Lhasa Apso cross who gets joint pain which needs to be managed.
Jimmy is an independent soul with a quirky and cheeky behaviour. He knows what he likes and dislikes, enjoying interaction on his terms and is an overall funny character. Jimmy has a sweet and loving personality once he feels comfortable around you and will come over for fuss and can be a chatterbox when he’s excited.
Jimmy is not much of a walker and would be happy with garden only exercise if he has a large enough space to sunbathe and potter about in. He will be needing slow introductions to new people and an owner who respects his wishes of not being picked up or a lot of handling.
Jimmy has been working hard on ramp training so he can get into a car and onto a sofa more easily without assistance from an owner. Jimmy needs a child-free home and to be the only pet. Like many cute, fluffy, older dogs, he can be a little grump at times. He needs owners who will accept him as he is. He’s affectionate once he gets to know you.
Jimmy will be covered for pain relief for his joints by the Centre through the Rescue’s Veterinary Support Scheme and will be looking for a local home within the Leicestershire area.
