Keisha (B.A.R.K. Northumberland)

16/11/24 We are so pleased that Keisha has quickly found her new home.

B.A.R.K. are urgently seeking a forever home for this wonderful big girl called Keisha as her owner is very poorly and can no longer look after her. She is located in Berwick Upon Tweed and can be rehomed anywhere, however support given by B.A.R.K maybe limited, if some distance away.

Keisha is an Akita type and is 14 yrs old and so realistically does not not have a huge lot of life ahead of her, but deserves a warm loving home in her last few years, and her owner just wants to know she is settled with people that will love her, like they do.

Keisha has lived with another Akita type dog in the past, so maybe able to live with another dog. She has not lived with children so a child free home is sought, neither is she used to cats. She is extremely loving and adores a cuddle and balls are her thing ! She’s not fussy what type, but if you have a little garden where you can play ball with her, she will be in heaven ! She also loves her little walks, at a gentle pace and is good on the lead. She travels well in the car, but does need to use her ramp to get in and out.

Prior to her last owner, Keisha had not had an easy life and as a result, did not like being touched around her head. It is testament to the love and kindness shown by her last owner that she now allows strokes and pats to the head. As befalls us all in later life, she has a few aches and pains, but these are easily managed with pain killers. This big fluffy beauty so deserves a loving home in which to spend her twilight years.
