3/9/24 – Loki has found a home!
Lovely Loki was born in Bulgaria but has lived in the UK since 2016. He has been a loyal companion to an older gentleman until he sadly passed away earlier this year. Family members tried their best to care for Loki, but long working hours meant the situation was not ideal and they realised Loki deserved better than they were in a position to offer. He’s now being cared for by Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in Tring Hertfordshire.
Loki is a chocolate and tan, smooth coated Crossbreed and he is almost 9 years old (born September 2015). He is a lovely, calm, gentle dog who likes his toys. His former family were keen for CDRS staff to know ‘Loki loves a walk and is lonely without his dad being around all day – he just needs a good home!’.
Loki walks well on the lead and returns reliably off-lead in familiar places. He is friendly and well-behaved around unfamiliar people and other dogs, but he has little experience of small children and might be tempted to chase cats.
Loki is relaxed when travelling by car and would enjoy trips out from time to time. While he would prefer someone home for much of the day, he could cope with time alone for a few hours when necessary. Loki has no known health issues but, weighing in at 25Kg, he is currently on a diet to lose the extra pounds gradually that he gained when exercise was limited.
Loki is really a very special dog who is a pleasure to be around. If you have time and space for a larger dog who would just like to be your friend and chill with you in the garden or in front of the TV, please get in touch with the Rescue Centre for further information about Loki by contacting Chilterns Dog Rescue Society as follows:
