15/09/2024: Luisa has been adopted! Hooray!

Little Luisa came into the care of Safe Rescue in 2021 from another rescue as she wasn’t progressing well there. She is currently living in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, just waiting for her forever home.

Luisa is an 11 year old, smallish Crossbreed. On arrival, she proved to be more confident than expected and Luisa progressed well in her foster home. After several weeks, she was adopted. Sadly, she has now been returned to Safe Rescue as changes in the domestic situation (ill health and carers going in and out of the house) really unsettled and stressed her and she became very unhappy there.

Luisa is now settled back in a foster home and seems happier in an environment without too many visitors coming and going. She is still the timid and quiet girl from the past and still seems to seek comfort from other dogs. So she would need a calm, canine friend in her new home.

Luisa has previously lived with cats and is fine with them. She still loves her walks and enjoys being out and about. She’s not a particularly fussy dog and is quite an independent little character. She would love to find a quiet home with a doggy friend to spend her twilight years.

Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on Luisa’s details on Safe Rescue’s Facebook.
