Max is a sweet little Lhasa Apso boy who is 13 yrs and 6 months old and looking for a quiet relaxing retirement home, where he can relish the luxuries of his twilight years. He is currently with a foster family under the care of Dogs Trust Shoreham in Sussex.

Although getting on in years, Max still has so much love to give and is totally adorable. He loves nothing more than a short burst of excitement, when he will shake his teddies and wagg his tail excitedly, after his evening meal or after returning from a walk. You’d never believe he was 13 !

Max still loves his little walks and will again become excited when he sees you getting his harness ready for walkies. However, long walks aren’t his thing and he is more than happy with a leisurely stroll, where he can take in the scenery and plod at his own pace. A garden is essential, where Max can relax and explore during the day. Max is currently residing with another dog and and we are told that he keeps himself to himself and doesn’t seem to gain much from having a canine pal, therefore Max could easily be an only dog, or join another calm doggy friend,

Max loves nothing more than a cuddle, but on his own terms, and when he’s had enough, he will take himself off to his bed, or yours ! He loves his people and finds being left alone challenging. He loves to know you’re close-by and does not like being shut away, so will need an “access all areas” home, where there is someone from the household at home all of the time. Max could live with older children that are respectful of his space, and the needs of an older dog.

If you can offer wonderful little Max the loving home he is seeking, please contact Dogs Trust Shoreham below.
