14/12/2024: Monty has been adopted! Hooray!

Everyone is so hoping that this fabulous boy finds his forever home very soon, as he so deserves it ! Monty is a 9 yr old, medium to large crossbreed chap currently being fostered in Norwich, under the care of Safe Rescue.

His life to date has sadly been a harsh one. Spotted by Safe Rescue in a public shelter in Romania, he had been bitten by a dominant dog and was bearing the scars of a life of traumatic times. They were determined that his last years should tell a different story, and so here he is.

Monty mixes well with other dogs, but as he has known severe hunger, care must be taken around food, so ideally he would prefer to be an only dog. He cannot be homed with cats.

Monty could be homed with respectful children over 10 yrs, and a garden would be great where he can potter and explore. He still loves little walks, but hiking with a backpack is not his thing, with him preferring  short gentle strolls.

NOTE -Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Further details around Safe Rescues rehoming policy can be found here.
