Rex (Jerry Green Dog Rescue, East Yorkshire)

Gentle Rex is an 8yr old Akita cross and currently looking for his forever home by Jerry Green Dog Rescue. Rex doesn’t ask for much, as he’s a very placid, slow paced dog, who just wants lots of love and cuddles. He’s described as a mellow chap with a heart as big as the sky, and is just waiting for the right home, where he will be showered with love and affection.

Rex loves people, and nothing more than being fussed over, having a belly rub and lots of cuddles. Just being with you will start his tail wagging and he will sit by you and chat all day long ! He’s such a loyal guy and will make his new owner the perfect companion.

Rex is looking for a quiet childfree home, or potentially one with children over the age of 14yrs, pending successful introductions. He likes things to go at a slow pace, with not too much going on. He prefers gentle walks, and a secure garden would be perfect, so that he can potter around at his own speed. He’s a very good boy who can be left for about 2 hours, which could be slowly increased over time, once he’s settled. So that he can be totally spoilt, Rex is looking to be the only dog in the home. He is potentially showing early signs of slight arthritis, that often comes with age, but is otherwise a healthy boy.
