22/6/24 – Sky has been rehomed!

Endearingly scruffy Sky is a 10-year-old Bedlington/Whippet Cross who weighs just 6.6kg. She has been very much loved and well cared for in her home but, sadly due to a change of circumstances, she needs to find a new home and All Animals Rescue & Rehome in Essex are helping her meantime. Sky is a gorgeous, happy lady who so desperately needs a forever home and family of her own to enjoy her twilight years.
Sky would love a family to snuggle on the sofa with all day with the occasional break for walks and ball chasing, She is happy as the only dog or snuggled up with other dogs, she is so easy going and is a delight to have.
Sky is a real couch potato of a dog when she is indoors, although she is quite fond of barking if she thinks she needs to alert you to a noise or movement. She is a very obedient little lady and is great both on and off-lead. Sky loves to run in the secure field and chase the other dogs, but when she gets back home, bed is life, yours or her own, she isn’t fussed and is often snuggled up on the bed with the small dogs and the cat.
If Sky were to be the only dog in the home, she would need someone around a lot at first to settle her in as she has always been with other dogs. She is initially timid meeting new people, understandably given her entire life until now has been in the same home. Ideally, Sky would like to live with a retired person or persons; she is happy with the slower pace of life.
Sky is well-behaved and her family obviously put a lot of love into her. She is house-trained and non-destructive, happy to be left snoozing on the sofa. She absolutely adores other dogs so could happily live with a companion but would equally be happy as the only dog. Where Sky is concerned, the sofa is life.
Sky is fine to live with cats and lived with 3 in her previous home. She is also fine to live with children aged 7 years plus. She is neutered, microchipped and flea/worm treated.
