Sweet Sophie is an 8+ year old Beagle lady who is looking for a home as the only pet and where any children are over the age of 6. She is totally house-trained but needs someone with her all day as she has separation anxiety. Sophie requires medication to ease the aches in her hind legs, and Dogs Trust Merseyside in Liverpool would still love to hear from you if you think the cost of those might be a barrier to your adopting her.
Sophie is a wonderful, older gal, looking for a home where she can sit and look out of the window at her heart’s content. She’s a happy lady who walks beautifully on her lead and doesn’t pull as she confidently explores.
Sophie is currently in a foster home where she laps up attention but is less keen on being picked up, crowded or groomed, although she’s very tolerant of the vets’ poking and prodding! She has had a lot of lumps tested recently and, thankfully, there’s nothing sinister to worry about.
Sophie has been great meeting other dogs and likes to say hello to them all, but she doesn’t like it if they jump on her. She has had cruciate problems so doesn’t enjoy any rough play. She will initiate play though and will simply move away when she’s had enough.
Sophie just hates to be alone, and she’ll need someone there with her most of the time, but who will continue to work with her on this issue. Help and advice are always available from the team at the centre.
