Sweet Sophie is a black and white, small/medium-sized Terrier Cross whose favourite place is to be with her chosen humans, wherever they are. She is currently being cared for by Heathlands Animal Sanctuary in Bedfordshire, while she hopes to go to her forever home soon.
Sophie is 9 years old and is a dear, unobtrusive, friendly and affectionate little shadow. She’s a leggy girl weighing 14kg, who wiggles her little stump of a docked tail with happiness to greet you and isn’t fazed by being blind in one eye from an accident when she was young. Sophie is otherwise very fit and agile with no known health issues.
Sophie enjoys a run around the garden fetching a toy. She is also happy to hop in the car for a ride somewhere or just lay down and quietly keep you company while you work, ideally, with lots of sofa cuddles in the evening. She would enjoy a quieter home, but visiting children would be fine. She has not been cat tested.
Sophie walks well on the lead and is friendly with other dogs, both inside and outside the house. As she’s a quiet girl, she can get pushed to the background by other dogs, so it would be nice for her to have her humans to herself. She is a fantastic companion dog and is so unobtrusive; she’d much prefer to go everywhere with you than be left home alone.
