18/11/2024 – Little Spikey has found a home!

—————

Spikey is a cute 9-year-old Jack Russell type boy who is in Newquay, North Cornwall. He is being rehomed by SOKS Dog Rescue, who normally help dogs from shelters overseas, but Spikey, being UK-born, is the exception to the rule.

Spikey has been with the same owner since puppyhood, but due to changing circumstances, they have less time for him, and know that Spikey deserves to find a new home where he will have all the love, attention, and exercise he needs.

He’s a fabulous, affectionate little chap who is lively for his age and fairly energetic. He’s therefore looking for a home with active people where he can have plenty of fun and adventures with you. He’d probably be best as your only pet as he isn’t used to living with cats or dogs, though he could possibly live with a calm, established resident dog, provided they got along when first introduced.

Spikey can be selective with dogs on walks, particularly larger dogs he meets when on-lead, so will benefit from gradual work on his confidence around them. He’s usually excited to meet new friends that are his own size, so some lead training to help manage his excitement would be good for Spikey. He isn’t used to living with children, but dog-savvy teenagers shouldn’t be a problem for him, subject to successful introductions.

Spikey travels well in the car, is clean in the house, and generally good when left for short periods, though he doesn’t like to be alone for longer stretches.

He is neutered and microchipped and has no current health issues.

Could you offer Spikey a fun new life?
