30/9/24 – Stella’s found a home!
Stella is a 9 year old, small Terrier in the care of Dogs Trust Merseyside in Liverpool and is looking for her new home with no other pets and where someone is there most of the day. She is house-trained and can live with children of high school age.
Stella likes to sniff about and especially loves finding hidden treats that have been left for her. She just loves playtime, especially squeaky toys, but doesn’t like you to try and take them from her, so it’s best to have a few when playing so that she doesn’t get too possessive.
Stella is very clever and picks things up quickly, so would really benefit from a home that wanted to do some extra training with her. She has recently had an operation to repair her cruciate and is happy to be in a foster home to recuperate. She’s doing very well and has taken back to home life very quickly. She’s been lapping up attention and has been keen to get out for exercise, even carrying her lead to the door as a hint!
Stella is not a fan of other dogs and can often be rather watchful for them on walks, but she enjoys training and will check in with her handler very well, so she has lots of potential to learn to ignore them.
Stella doesn’t cope at all well when left by herself and is going to need a family that can provide her with constant company, or are willing to work on building up her alone time slowly.
