29/08/2024: Tetley has found a lovely home! Hooray!
Sweet boy Tetley is a 10-year-old Crossbreed in the care of Love Underdogs in Waltham Abbey, Essex. He wants a child-free home with a compatible doggy companion and a large garden to romp about and potter in.
Tetley is looking for a human or two who understand and respect his insecurities. He’s a sensitive dog who needs time and patience to come out of his shell. He will bond in time and become a lot more sociable but it would have to be on his terms and at a slow pace. When he feels secure, he’s a playful and happy boy at heart.
He hasn’t had much of a chance to be happy throughout his life, being a street dog and then spending years in various shelters and kennels. Tetley does like to have some enrichments. He is partial to a treat-loaded snuffle mat and, in fact, treats in general!
He is actually very low maintenance and just needs a relaxed home environment with owners who are observant, considerate and willing to help him become more confident. He does not go out for walks, he might do in time but this is not guaranteed so a good-sized garden is important. He’s not one for fuss but appreciates human kindness and is a lovely companion to people and other dogs alike.
Tetley is a gentle soul who deserves a chance of happiness in his later years. He’s a dog who will be hugely fulfilling for someone with a rescue mentality, as you will be part of his journey to peace and joy. It’s never too late!
