‘OLD DOG OF THE WEEK’ FEATURES NEW PHOTOS AND A FRESH WRITE-UP FOR AN OVERLOOKED OLDIE THAT HAS BEEN ON OUR WEBSITE FOR A WHILE BUT IS STILL WAITING FOR A NEW HOME.

Please help Tilly by sharing this page!

Gorgeous Tilly is a 9 year old German Shepherd Cross in the care of German Shepherd Recue Elite at their kennels in Cheshire. She’s available to either adopt or foster. She can live with older, dog savvy children but wants to be the only pet at home. She’s generally OK with other dogs out and about, especially if she has one of her teddies to carry.

Tilly is a friendly girl who meets people nicely, even in the stressful environment of kennels. She is, of course, protective of her human but that will come as no surprise to anyone familiar with her breed. She’s easy enough to manage when needed, for an experienced owner, as she’s an attentive girl who wants to please.

She also wants to play a lot! Tilly is a very bright girl with plenty of energy for fun. She is completely focussed on toys and games when they’re afoot. You can watch a nice clip of her playing fetch and ignoring all other noises and smells HERE.

Tilly is in need of a forever home because she ended up at the pound due to being overly friendly. Having been bought as a working guard dog, she let her guard down once and found herself to be with puppies. Fast forward 5 years and she is still waiting to be noticed.

Tilly has a lovely nature, making the most of life every day. She is well behaved around food and everyone at the kennels loves her. To see some of her lovability CLICK HERE.

She will need time to get used to proper home comforts but she is well worth the investment because she bonds strongly and is a loving, loyal friend. She’s spayed (now!), vaccinated and microchipped, ready to find her perfect person.

If you might be Tilly’s new best friend and could either adopt or foster her, please contact German Shepherd Rescue Elite by reading about their adoption process HERE…

…and filling in their adoption and fostering form HERE.

Please say you saw Tilly featured as Old Dog of the Week on the Oldies Club website.

This replaces Tilly’s original page dated 2 June 2024.
