Little Miss Tinkerbell is a Chinese Crested who will be 14 in August this year (born 1/8/2010) and is totally blind and very hard of hearing. She came to Saving and Rehoming Strays in Ayr, Scotland, in April this year after being discovered sitting crying on top of her deceased owner. Although no doubt she had been very loved, she had not been very well looked after and the poor little mite was in a shocking state.

Tinkerbell was taken straight to the vets for emergency dental treatment, because as well as being rotten, her teeth and gums were also severely infected. She had most of her teeth removed, a course of antibiotics and full blood work done and she is now a different little dog and as good as she is going to get. Her skin is covered in blackheads and pimples, which is apparently normal for her breed, but with regular washing, exfoliation and mudpacks, the blackheads are starting to disappear.

Personality-wise, Tinks is just an absolute superstar and everybody who meets her falls instantly in love with her. She is house-trained and will bark to let you know when she wants the toilet. She also walks fairly well on a lead. She is a little diva who will tell you when she wants attention and loves to sit on your knee and be cuddled nearly as much as she loves food.

Due to her age and condition, Tinks is looking for a lovely, quiet, retirement home where she will spend the rest of her days being loved and cherished the way she deserves to be. She can absolutely live with other dogs, but they must be of a calm and gentle nature and pose no threat to her, as being blind and deaf make her very vulnerable.

Tinks travels well in a car and so can go anywhere for the right home, but her adopters must be able to do a meet-and-greet and collect her from Ayr in Scotland. Please note a virtual home check and adoption donation will be required.
