18/11/24 – Darling Dixie has now gone home – Hooray !

Lovely Dixie is seeking a fairly urgent foster/foster-to-adopt or adoption placement as she needs ideally to move from her current foster home in Cambridgeshire by August 9th. SOKS Dog Rescue say that she is a really lovely dog with a big heart and lots of character.

Dixie is a 9 – 10 year old (approx) Crossbreed on the larger side of medium. She is a strong, active dog despite her years and a recent small operation to remove a mammary mass. Dixie has been through a lot in her life, but she has so much to give and is full of character and charm. Her foster carers are so sad to give her up, especially as they had hoped to adopt her initially, but her perfect home is out there somewhere.

Dixie adores people, loves affection, and particularly head scratches. She has bonded well with her foster carers but, sadly, things have not worked out with other family dogs, who have found Dixie bossy and intimidating. So Dixie would be as the only dog in the household to avoid any issues, though she can live with confident cats. She is fine with children but, as she is bouncy and enthusiastic and could risk accidentally knocking over a small child, dog-savvy children 10+ years only please.

Dixie is spayed, micro-chipped, fully vaccinated, has an EU Passport, and is 4 dx health screened & Brucella tested. She has also been flea/worm treated.
