Handsome Watson is an 8 year old, Dalmatian/Poodle Cross who is looking for a new home as his owners have an 11 month old daughter and feel he is not getting the love and attention he deserves. He is being rehomed privately by his owners and is living in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Watson enjoys cuddles, playing with toys, eating treats, having zoomies and agility in enclosed fields. He is fairly active and enjoys his walks of around 45 minutes minimum. He can be left alone for a few hours. Watson would prefer an adult home or one where any children are teenagers.
Watson is a loving dog who is very food motivated. He can be anxious and wary of guests who come to the house and has previously nipped a small number of people. Since then, the owners have worked with an accredited behaviourist and no incidents have occurred since, as he is introduced to guests before they enter the house. Having said this, he would be better suited living with a couple or single person where there are limited comings and goings.
Watson is not really frightened of many things but, with household items like the hoover, he will dodge out of the way once they are switched on.
Watson travels well in the car particularly if in a crate, though he will be nervous at the start/end of the journey. He can live with other dogs but would need to be introduced to them properly first. He is also good with cats and has lived with two previously.
Watson has no known medical conditions, has been neutered and has all his vaccinations up-to-date.
Watson’s owners have confirmed that they will take him back if his new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully home-checked.
