Zoe on the left and Luan, with his ball, on the right
16/11/2024 – We are so pleased to hear that Zoe and Luan have a new home lined up after being spotted on the Oldies Club website. They will be moving in with their new family very soon!
—————-
Zoe is a female 11-year-old Shih Tzu x Pug, and Luan is a male 11-year-old Springer x Beagle x Poodle – a mixture that produces this lovely face…
They are being rehomed privately as their owner is now in a nursing home. Zoe and Luan are in Nottingham, being cared for by family.
These lovely dogs have lived together since being puppies and need a new home together. They have visited homes with other dogs, but never lived with other dogs, so might be best as the only dogs in their new home. They aren’t suitable for living with cats or small companion pets as they are very interested in their carer’s pet rabbits. They have been around children age 10+ so have potential to live with older children.
Although they used to be with their owner all of the time, and be taken everywhere he went, they have got used to being left for a few hours and are fine. They are best if they have a walk before they are left.
Zoe and Luan travel well in the car. They are good on and off the lead, although their recall seems to be selective. They are currently being walked for an hour. Luan is adventurous on walks and will always sniff out somewhere that no other dog can get to (behind hedges etc.), and he often goes home with grass seeds on his ears. He is generally laid back though.
Zoe is happy just to walk and sniff at her own pace.
Luan enjoys playing with his tennis balls – he has a collection of them – and will bring the ball back to you. Zoe isn’t interested in toys now she’s older. They both like plenty of fuss and tummy rubs. They don’t seem to be frightened of anything, and aren’t too concerned about noise from fireworks.
They are neutered and microchipped and don’t have any medical issues. Zoe had stones removed from her bladder 3 years ago, but has had no problems since.
Zoe and Luan are being rehomed privately by their current carer, who has confirmed they will take the dogs back if their new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully home-checked.
Could you offer this adorable pair a new home together?
Please mention that you saw their private rehoming ad on the Oldies Club website.
Oldies Club suggests you read our article Questions for Adopters which is written to help people who are planning to adopt a dog from a private owner rather than a rescue.
