Baby Belle is the sweetest little 9yr old French Bulldog who is is such a loveable girl that just enjoys spending time with her people. She is currently in Shoreham in Sussex where Dogs Trust are hoping the best home can be found for her.
Belle can be timid at first, but once she gets to know you, she will show her affectionate side. She loves interacting with you, but responds not to being fussed over and touched, but playing and lying quietly next to you where she can feel comfortable and safe.
Food is Belle’s thing ! She can be frantic about her food and finds it challenging when people come close whilst she’s eating, with a history of resource guarding. Because of this, Dogs Trust are looking to home her as an only dog, and where any children are in their teens, and will understand that Belle sometimes needs her own space and a bit of peace and quiet. Humans with experience of resource guarding would also be helpful.
Walking with other dogs is a favourite pastime for Belle and she’s a sociable girl, however, because of her guarding instincts she will need to be an only dog, but if she can have some chums to go walkies with, that would be fantastic !

Belle’s perfect home would be calm and peaceful with patient humans that let her take her time to settle in. She will need someone at home for most of the day whilst she settles in, and time alone can be built up gradually.
Non slip flooring would be appreciated and also minimal steps too as she is a small girl and getting on in years. Did we mention a garden ? Pottering and smelling the roses would make Belle happy and once she’s confident and settled, a road trip in the car would make her day…
This darling girl has so much to give and in the right calm and loving home, will only continue to grow in confidence and can live her best life .
