Buster (Friends Of Akitas, Nottinghamshire)

Beautiful boy Buster is now ready to go to a lovely forever home. He arrived at Friends of Akitas in Nottinghamshire as a stray, so very little is known of his background, save to say that he is a fabulous boy that deserves a warm and loving home, and a family to call his own. He is 9 yrs old and a long haired Akita.

Buster is looking for a home where people are home for a good proportion of the time, especially whilst he settles in. He loves his walks and walks nicely on the lead. He doesn’t seem overly interested in the dogs that he meets out and about, and could be homed with other doggy chums or be an only dog.

He could live with older teenage children or would be happy in an adult only home, mainly as Friends of Akitas have no history on him to recommend that he is OK to live with younger children.

Buster is a people dog and when left alone he can get a little upset. He doesn’t travel too well in the car, and will need someone to sit with him in the back to reassure him during journeys. Probably a home where he doesn’t need to go anywhere in the car would be beneficial.

Buster is not doing well in kennels, although he was a very good boy and allowed the staff to give him a bath. He did like to sing in the shower, and enjoyed all the attention he was getting. He has a stunning fluffy coat so his new owners will need to brush him regularly to reduce the chance of his fur getting knotted.
