31/1/2025 Adorable duo, Milo and Dottie have now been adopted.

This charming duo of Sausage Dogs (Dachshunds) is Milo and Dottie searching for their forever home together with the help of Jerry Green Dog Rescue in South Lincolnshire. They are inseparable best friends and come as a package deal – where one goes, the other follows. They have always lived together and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Dottie is a Dachshund and is 7 years 1 month old and Milo is a Dachshund Cross aged 9 years and 9 months. They would like to be the only pets in the home for all the love and would like a secure garden to play in. They can be left alone for a couple of hours and any children should be aged 16+. They’re happy as long as they are together, making them the perfect companions for a quieter home where they can relax and enjoy their golden years. Their hearts are full of love and loyalty.
Milo is the larger of the two, with a striking wire-haired coat and a playful spirit. Every toy is his favourite and he’s always ready for a game. Dottie is the smaller one and a true princess at heart. As classic sausage dogs, they’re full of character, vocal, and not afraid to let you know how they’re feeling. Their sassy personalities are part of their charm.
Dottie and Milo are strong on the lead, so their new family should be comfortable with their enthusiasm. However, they are just as content hanging out in a secure garden and skipping the daily walks if needed. A peaceful environment with no other pets is ideal because they love having all the attention to themselves. A family that appreciates their chatty, quirky ways and doesn’t mind a bit of sausage dog sass would suit them perfectly.
A comfy sofa (or two) for snuggling is essential for Dottie and Milo. Older kids (16+) are just fine, but a calm household suits them best. Once settled, they’re independent enough to be left alone for a few hours without any trouble.
