Say Hello to Fabulous Frankie, who is a bundle of fun and loveliness. He is a 9yr old Mioritic Shepherd originating from Romania, currently being fostered in Surrey under the care own Meadow of Hope Dog Rescue, and is looking for a lovely foster, or preferably forever home.
Frankie is hoping to find a child free home with or without other dogs, where he can get lots of love and attention. His history is a sad one. Having spent his entire life chained up, and kept outside, never knowing the warmth of a comfy bed or a good meal, he was thankfully rescued by Meadow of Hope Dog Rescue and brought to the UK. He is living the best life in his current foster home, but due to a change in circumstances, now has to find a new loving home, preferably forever, so he does not have to move again.
Perhaps due to the hard life he has had to endure, Frankie is now stiff on his back legs, has some weak joints, sleeps a lot, but loves to be showered with love and cuddles. Medication helps ease his condition, (this will be covered by the Rescue) but as with us all, he has good and bad days.
He is a very good boy, getting on well with other dogs that he meets on his walks, but as is common with his breed, he has a strong guarding instinct of his home and his “human”. Therefore Frankie needs a forever home with humans that either have experience of this trait or are willing to learn and work with him to find his way.
Despite his years and achey joints, Frankie is a playful boy, as can be seen from his video here. He needs a quiet home with his master or mistress, where he can be calm without a lot of visitors.Where he can lay by the fire and go on nice walks, perhaps dig a few holes, and where he can socialise with doggy friends. He travels well in the car, is lead trained and can be left on his own for a few hours.
If you can offer Frankie a quiet and loving, foster or forever home, please contact Meadow of Hope Dog Rescue below.
