Meet Loveable Lofty ! Its hard not to fall in love with this gorgeous boy, that has sadly been through so much and yet is the most friendly, adorable boy that so deserves the best home we can find for him.
He is a 7-8 yr old Whippet under the care of All Animals Rescue and Rehoming in Essex and will make some very lucky person the most loving companion.
Lofty was picked up as a stray going through the bins by the side of a busy road. He was dirty, tired and badly limping on his back leg. He was taken to the vets and received lots of treatments and physio, but as it was obvious that the injury was so old, it was felt that the best thing was to amputate. How resilient this boy was. He has recovered, is much happier and no longer in pain and having only 3 legs, definitely does not stop him living life to the full !
Lofty’s rescuers say that he is the best dog they have ever met ! What a declaration ! He is a real couch potato, so quiet and very obedient. He is tolerant, bouncy and the sweetest boy. It is clear that someone in the past has invested a lot of time in Lofty, as he is so well behaved. He loves to snooze on the sofa by himself and absolutely adores other dogs, so could live with another doggie or have you all to himself !
His rescuer is greeted every night when they return home by Lofty wagging his tail. But then he will quietly return to the couch for a snuggle. He is so gentle with other dogs, has absolutely no prey drive which is unusual for a Whippet, and is the perfect gentleman in every way. Lofty could live with children over 10yrs of age and is cat friendly too !
