Milo (Rovers Dog Rescue, Essex)

Milo is a 9-year-old Shih Tzu who is in the care of Rovers Dog Rescue as his lady owner died and her husband was struggling to care for Milo. He is now in a Rovers Dog Rescue foster home in Essex.

He was in a bit of a mess on arrival and he had to see the groomer, and then be sedated at the vets, to remove all of the matts. The poor little fella was a snappy, angry boy as he must have been in so much pain with all of the matted fur and being pulled about.

Since getting his coat sorted, he has settled into his foster home with other dogs and he is generally a good boy. He has learned to snap when he doesn’t want to be brushed, but this is being worked through by doing a little grooming every day. He has really improved.

Milo loves a good walk, sniffing around and investigating, however if a dog comes near he likes to tell them off – a little half-heartedly though. He loves walking with the dogs in his foster family.

Milo is a typical Shih Tzu – if you have one you’ll know. Feisty and arrogant with a swagger! He loves a lap and is affectionate and loyal too. He will make a fabulous dog for his new owner.
