Petra is the most loving of dogs, who so deserves a wonderful home where she will be loved and treated with kindness. Nirina Dog Adoptions have brought her to the UK and now have her safely fostered in Malvern, Worcestershire, but what she really needs is a new forever home.
She is a very pretty, medium sized, 12yr old hound breed, weighing approx 18kg.
Petra will comically greet you by crawling towards you on her tummy and wagging her tail ! She is a very friendly girl, but sadly cowers when you go to stroke her, which is a result of someone treating her harshly in her past. So wanting now to be loved, she is great with people, including children, so could live with a family where any young people are respectful of her years.
She is a also well behaved around other dogs so could live with other doggies or on her own. Travelling well in the car too, she would love to go on days out with you and be part of a family. She can pull a little on the lead, but only as she gets a bit excited, but with more practice, she is bound to improve. For an older lady of 12, she is still very active, so would suit people that like a good walk but that can also be around her at home for much of the time. This said, Petra can happily be left for a few hours, whilst you pop out.
