Dear little Rocky was abandoned by his owners who never came to reclaim him, and so he is now looking for a forever home, where he will be spoilt and loved, as he deserves to be. RSPCA, Millbrook Animal Centre in Chobham, Surrey are caring for him and we are sure he will be a very popular boy.
Rocky is an 8yr old Chihuahua who could live with secondary age children, and would like to be an only dog. If you have experience with small dogs, Rocky would like that too.
He is such a friendly little boy who loves lots of fuss and attention. He enjoys short walks and walks nicely on his lead, and off the lead he will just go off for a little wander and a sniff about. A little secure garden would be great for Rocky. He loves the sofa and will keep an eye on you whilst you do the housework, but is a little nervous of the vacuum, so patience and understanding whilst he gets used to his new surroundings will be needed.
Rocky has had a trip to the vets to sort out some dental disease, but this is all now treated. He does suffer from an intermittent slipping knee cap, but this does not trouble him, so the vet has suggested it is just left as it is. This may change in the future, and if his new owners decided to insure Rocky, it would need to be disclosed as a pre existing condition, or self funded. Being a long haired breed, little Rocky will need to be regularly groomed to keep his coat beautiful and tangle free. As little is known about Rocky’s past, his family may need to do a little bit of refresher training on his house training, and whilst he does seem quite happy in the car, he may also need a few short journeys to get him used to travelling.
