Rosie is a lovely 11-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who is with Saving and Rehoming Strays. She is in Ayr, Scotland.
Sweet Rosie needs a loving, comfortable home to retire to. She is a gentle, affectionate soul who, due to no fault of her own, is looking for a fresh start. Rosie deserves to spend her golden years in a quiet home filled with cuddles, care and attention. Rosie will be happiest in a home where she can enjoy a slower pace of life. She is used to the company of older children, small dogs and even cats.
She can be a bit bolshy with larger dogs, probably due to not getting out much with her previous owner. With a little patience and gentle training, it is thought that Rosie could adapt very well to new canine friends.
This sweet little lady loves the company of people, though she can be a little unsure in large crowds – after all, she’s quite small! She has a soft spot for her garden, where she loves to bury her bones, and is content lounging in her own bed during the day. At night, she loves snuggling up with her owner. Rosie may be small, but she has a big bark, and she’s always ready to alert you to any ‘intruders’ in her territory.
Rosie still enjoys a walk, though she doesn’t venture too far these days. She also loves being wheeled around in her doggy buggy, making sure she can keep up with the action without overdoing it!
The rescue would love to see Rosie in a home where she can potter around at her own pace, enjoying short walks or a ride in her buggy. A secure garden would be ideal so she can enjoy the outdoors safely between her strolls.
Rosie has a bit of arthritis in her back legs but she is doing well on Newmove Max and CBD oil. She had skin allergies in the past, but they’ve cleared up with treatment and she’s currently medication-free.
Could you offer Rosie the peaceful, loving home she deserves?
