Sweet Simon is an American Bulldog Cross and was found as a stray and taken into a Vet who contacted the family on his chip. There was a conversation with the family who asked the Vet to put him to sleep. The Vet refused and Rescue Remedies agreed to take him into their Rescue Centre near Gatwick and thus save his life.
As one volunteer walker said: “We met Simon yesterday, oh he’s such a sad boy. He’s very sweet when you meet him, calmly let us change his harness and put on a collar and we went for a little potter around the grounds. He did not react at any of the dogs barking at the kennels and seems to be hard of hearing and has very cloudy eyes.
This darling old dog is in his twilight years and needs somewhere to rest, be warm and safe away from the stress of the kennels.”
On a short weekend foster break, the volunteer said: “Simon is a lovely, slightly lost boy who needs to find a comfortable retirement home where he can feel safe and secure and be given the time to settle. When he finds that place, I am sure he will give love and joy in abundance. I hope it comes soon.”
Simon is 13 – 14 years old (DOB 2011). He is neutered, chipped and is undergoing vaccination whilst awaiting his new family.
