10/5/15 Cassie has sadly passed away. RIP Cassie :(
Cassie is a beautiful Staffy girl who is about 11 years old. Cassie is at Moorlands Rescue, a few miles south of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. She has sadly been there for well over a year and, due to having some health issues now, Moorlands are seeking a permanent foster home for Cassie, with all vets bills to be paid by Moorlands.
Cassie is unaware that she’s an older girl and she’s still spritely and full of life. She’s a mischievous character and Moorlands describe her as a cheeky little monkey!
Cassie is a sweet girl and loves cuddles. She can be a little aloof with new people at first, but this is probably because she hasn’t had a great life so far. Moorlands Rescue think that she is an ex-breeding bitch, and so the chances are that Cassie hasn’t ever had a particularly happy home life.
Cassie is very clean in her kennel, so she has been housetrained, and she’s keen to keep up her high standards of cleanliness, bless her.
Cassie would be best as an only dog, though she did get on well with a male oldie who was at Moorlands, so she could possibly live with a steady male dog. She can be wary of and grumpy around some dogs though and wouldn’t suit a multiple dog household.
Cassie seems fine with children but she doesn’t like cats. Cassie loves to get out of her kennel and have a good run, but she’s not interested playing with a ball.
Cassie has been spayed. She has been diagnosed with mammary tumours and although very well in herself, due to her age and having a heart murmur, the vet has advised against operating. Moorlands are therefore trying to find Cassie a permanent foster home, with her vet bills to be paid by Moorlands.
Can you offer Cassie a loving, comfortable home in which to relax? She’s waited far too long already.
