Oscar is a gorgeous 8 year old German Shepherd who is in the care of the Ark .    He is being rehomed as his owners health and work situation made it difficult for them to meet Oscar’s needs.

Oscar is a playful, friendly boy who is active for his age. He has lived with children and now has regular contact with a baby and a 3 year old. He is fine with other dogs, but his status with cats is not known. He does have a tendancy to mouth a greeting by almost tugging at your sleeve, but this is in an attempt to get attention, not in any aggresive way. He would really love to be with people who can give him the love and attention that he craves.

Oscar has been with his family since he was a pup and has been happy to live outside in a kennel (apart from the rustling of the trees above, which he does not enjoy!) but now he is getting on in years he really needs to be indoors, curled up by a nice warm fire, which it is thought he could easily adjust to. His owners say he is house trained when he does spend time inside.

Healthwise, Oscar is fit for his age and neutered, with only a little bit of cloudy vision and teeth which would benefit from a visit to the dentist. He will be a lovely companion for his new people and just needs to find that special place to call home, where he can spend his retirement years. He will really thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention and company.
