8/8/21 – Lily has found a home!

Little Lily is a 13 year old Terrier/Chihuahua Cross who came into the care of Wonky Pets Rescue after she had been booked into the vet to be euthanised when her owner sadly passed away. Luckily, the vets got her signed over and contacted the rescue. She is now safely living in a foster home in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, and can be rehomed further afield subject to a home-check.
Lily is a really great little dog who has been used to living a quieter life with a male owner and absolutely adores men. She is like a different dog when the male fosterer comes home from work, so happy to see him, runs around like a pup and loves playing gentle wresting. This girl definitely needs a home with at least one male owner … sorry ladies but you won’t get much of a look in.
Lily certainly doesn’t act her age. She is a lively and sprightly girl who enjoys plenty of lovely long walks. She will need an owner who is fit and active and can take her out and about to different places. She walks lovely on the lead and travels well in the car. Lily eats well, is clean in the house and does like to sleep upstairs with her owner. She can be left for a few hours a day without any problems and needs a home with a very secure garden.
Lily is a typical terrier type in that she knows her own mind; she doesn’t like being picked up at all and will snap. She wants to be the only dog in the home and is okay meeting other dogs out on a walk, but she doesn’t want them in her space in a home environment. She could possibly live with a dog-savvy cat who will not bother her. Lily cannot be homed with resident children and any visiting children should be older and respectful of her space.
Lily is now spayed, microchipped and flea/worm treated. She has had two small mammary lumps removed and also had a dental. She will be rehomed with 5 weeks’ free pet insurance.
