31/3/2023 Beautiful Sky has found a wonderful new home with a retired couple who just fell in love with her.

Sky is a beautiful, black and tan German Shepherd/Rottweiler-type Cross who has lived very happily as the devoted friend to a older, lady owner sharing a quiet life together right up until the day the lady passed away. With no one else in the family able to care for her, Sky was left alone in the house until she was offered a place at Chilterns Dog Rescue Society.
Sky is 8½ years old (dob 9.7.14) and is quite a large dog, weighing just over 30Kg. She has a very gentle nature and is described as “friendly, happy and loveable” by people who know her. Sky asks very little of life.
Despite her size and strength, Sky has been very much a companion dog, spending much of her day sleeping on the sofa or the bed to comfort her poorly owner. She would prefer a quiet home with a secure garden to explore and regular, but not extensive exercise. She is strong on the lead but does listen and is learning to walk calmly alone and in the company of other dogs.
Sky has lived with a cat but apparently used to chase it, so a home without other animals would suit her best. She is used to having company around for most of the day but can be left for short periods of time without becoming distressed. Sky is relaxed when taken out in a car.
Sky is inoculated and microchipped. No health issues were detected when she was checked by the vet. She was in season on entry so cannot be spayed just yet. She is a little overweight but getting fitter by the day.
