This handsome chap is Arthur (Arty to his friends). Sadly, he came from the stray dog pound, he was all alone and awaiting rescue. He’s now lived with his pals at Friends of Akitas for nearly 2 years now. They can’t understands why nobody wants him to spread the love he has in their home permanently.
Arty is 8 years old and he luckily found a lovely lady to foster him in Nottinghamshire so he could show everyone what a good boy he is while he waits until he finds his new family. He’s settled in really well and is happy to be left on his own for a few hours.
Arty has proved himself to be a fabulous and well-behaved boy in the home, he is house-trained and non-destructive and he adores being around people.
Arty is enjoying his daily walks and he no longer pulls on the lead (which his foster mum is very happy about). He can jump really high though, so he needs a very secure garden with a very high fence so he doesn’t ever get lost.
Arty has never lived with little people before so would prefer a home with bigger people or bigger little people aged 12+. He’s shown to be happy to meet other doggies out and about on his walks so could potentially live with a calm, spayed female. Be warned though, he is very greedy when it comes to food.
