Everyone at the Oldies Club is really saddened by news that we’ve just received about  beautiful little Peggy (originally Mattie).   Her owner writes:

We adopted her (Peggy)  last summer and I like to think she enjoyed a very comfortable year with us.    Unfortunately she had to be put to sleep a few weeks ago. Having pottered around in the garden in the sunshine she wandered into the house and promptly fainted in front of our vet.    She then went into a very deep sleep, unaware of the vets examination and it was decided that her heart was very weak( along with some other problems ) , so we had to make the sad decision. But as far as she knew she just fell asleep at home.

Such sad news but hopefully her owners can take comfort from knowing that they gave her what was probably the best year of her whole life.   This little dog came into  Oldies Club care in a really bad state and was about to be put to sleep.  She had clearly had a hard life but fortunately loads of loving care from her fosterers helped her to begin her recovery.   Things became perfect for Peggy when she went off to a loving forever home and we all hoped that they would have many happy years together.  That was not to be but at least Peggy knew what a fantastic life a dog could have when it’s properly loved and cared for.   Run free, little Peggy xx
