11/1/09 – Magic has a new home!
—
Magic is currently in the care of AARU. Magic came from an old folks’ home, where she lived in the smoking room and kept the old folks happy. Unfortunately, when the smoking ban came along, the room was used for another purpose and Magic was turfed out. She’s such a nice girl who was used to being fussed and loved. It must have broken her heart to have all that, and the only home she knew, suddenly wrenched away from her.
Magic is an elderly cat who has an old spinal injury, which means she drags her tail and walks with a wiggle but is not in any discomfort. Unfortunately, she is also not very house trained, and this could be as a result of the spinal injury. We are working on her, though, to see if she can be improved through training.
She is now very happy at her foster home, where she spends most of her time outside and sleeps in one of our stables on a pile of hay. She seems fine with kids and other cats and is very friendly. She ideally needs someone who can cope with her lack of housetraining by confining her to one room, such as a kitchen, and give her free access outside.
Imagine how you would feel if you were poor Magic. Now can you imagine her curled up on your lap, enjoying a cuddle? Imagine how much happier she’d be then?
If you can offer Magic the home she deserves please contact Jackie at AARU as follows:
