21/6/2010 We’re very sad to report that Bolo has passed away. Old age had crept up on him and the vet and his devoted fosterers decided it was time to let him go.
Sleep tight big Teddy Bear :(
————————-
Bolo is a 15 year old Japanese Akita who originally came into Oldies Club care two years ago. He arrived with his devoted companion, Mitzi, who has now sadly passed away.
Bolo is a lovely old boy who walks well on the lead, big and proud, and attracts admiring glances. He’s very gentle with everyone and everything, a big soft teddy bear!
Bolo takes no notice of cats and he’s good with other dogs and children. In his previous foster home he was even happy with chickens free ranging around him.
Poor Bolo suffers with faecal incontinence, but as soon as he realises he’s going he runs off to the door to get outside quickly. He also has arthritis and needs painkillers and glucosamine supplements.
Due to his incontinence, Bolo was unlikely to find a new home so his wonderful foster carers decided they’d like to keep him. He will remain with them for the rest of his days, but will be supported by Oldies Club as a sponsor dog.
If you’d like to help him have a happy retirement please consider sponsoring him!
Bolo being festive in his santa hat!
