1/4/2012 Whiskas has a new home.
——————–
Beautiful Whiskas arrived in rescue with the RSPCA Macclesfield after her owners contacted them with just 2 days notice before moving into accommodation that would not allow cats. No other rescue could help, so the RSPCA managed to squeeze this lovely lady in. She is a lovely 10 year old Tabby cat.
Whiskas is a beautiful looking cat who is very affectionate. She is a true lap cat, although she likes to come and go as well and is used to having a cat flap. She is litterbox trained and likes to have the run of the house, sleeping wherever she fancies.
Whiskas likes to play with toy mice if you interact with her. She has not lived with other animals so would do better in a pet-free home. Whiskas is an older lady who likes her space and needs a home without young children.
Unfortunately, poor Whiskas was found to have Pyoderma (a dry skin complaint) when she arrived with some small lesions that were infected and some ulcers in her mouth. She has been on steroids and antibiotics to help heal her and as you can see from her latest photos she has healed very well. Whiskas also had to have a dental which resulted in all but two of her teeth being removed.
This is what poor Whiskas looked like when she arrived
Whiskas is now in a foster home and has settled in wonderfully. She has been wormed and flead and will start vaccinations shortly She is already neutered.
Whiskas definitely has a fair few years in her yet – remember cats can live to be in their 20s!
