Beautiful Sheba, affectionately referred to as Queenie, the Queen of Sheba, by her foster carers, came into Oldies Club care with her sister, Bracken.
An 11 year old Lurcher x Saluki x Greyhound, Sheba had been suffering with arthritis and, despite treatment, her condition had recently become dramatically worse. She was admitted to the vet for an X-ray and was found to have a very aggressive bone cancer that was eating away her shoulder joint. Poor Sheba was in so much pain that the only kind option was to let her go whilst she was under the anaesthetic.
Our thoughts are with Sheba’s lovely foster carers, and with Bracken who has lost the sister to whom she was devoted.
