Max (Dogs Trust West Calder, Scotland)
3/12/15 – Sad news today from Dogs Trust: ‘Sorry to bring you the sad news that Max our 11 year old Kelpie crossbreed has passed away. He was with his favourite carer, our Assistant Manager Kerrie. He had an illness but left in true fashion of avoiding a vet visit and had a morning walk and play with his best friend Biscuit. We are all devastated about this.’ Sleep well, old boy.
-
Frankie (Dogs Trust West Calder, Scotland)

Sophie (Dogs Trust, Glasgow)
27/9/13 – Sad news from Dogs Trust Glasgow – ‘Sophie has sadly passed away. Her back end deteriorated badly and she had to be put to sleep as she couldn’t walk but her favourite carer and favourite volunteer cuddled her and comforted her and said their goodbyes. It was very peaceful and dignified, as she deserved.’ Run free, Sophie.

Jess Springer – Loving and cuddly (Oldies Club, fostered Dundee)
20/1/12 Tragically, after a number of weeks in her foster home with no sign of having fits, Jess has tonight suffered a massive fit. The vet managed to bring her round briefly but she started fitting again and the only option was to let her be at peace. We’re so sorry for Jess and for her lovely foster family who have taken such good care of Jess and are now devasted. :(
-
Tasha (Dogs Trust – West Calder, West Lothian)
6/2/12 Tasha has sadly had to be put to sleep after an exploratory operation found that her liver was irreparably damaged and there was no treatment that could help her. Rest in peace now Tasha.

Rambo (Blue Cross, Scotland – fostered Ayrshire)
3/9/2011 – We just had the sad news that Rambo was pts. Here is what his carer said about him: Sadly Rambo died yesterday but he had a brilliant foster home and was a happy dog right up to the end. We’re going to miss his great character and how much he made us all laugh but I’m glad he got to spend his last months so contented. Sleep tight, sweet boy.
-
Gypsy (Dogs Trust, West Calder)
28/7/2011 A sad update from Dogs Trust … Our poor wee Gypsy passed away in her sleep last week and the vet explained that it was natural causes and old age. She is very sadly missed by staff and volunteers alike, but was a happy, cheeky little girl right to the end and had adapted well to living here and being waited on by her carers. Sleep tight little one :(

Blaze (Boxer Welfare Scotland, Edinburgh/Glasgow)
11/10/2010 Sadly, poor Blaze’s condition worstened, and despite all the efforts of Boxer Welfare Scotland, he had to be put to sleep today. Sleep well Blaze.
